That's right, I'm adding myself to the Scoundrel's list after an incident last Monday night. My sincerest apologies go out to all Champions and Guardians (especially the three who were in my Fornost group this week). After killing the second big shade (of the four that drop hilts) I was really curious as to what he might drop, and looted mid-battle (he still had adds that we were working on) - - however, that faux pas isn't what lands me here. Upon checking the body - - I went all tingly when I saw my first Elite Level (light blue border) item, and immediately double clicked to loot it. A small chat box that popped up should have alerted me to the mistake that I was making, but I suddenly realized that the battle wasn't going very well, and I needed to get back in it. So, I clicked the first button on that pesky little chat box to get rid of it. That "o.k." button bound an amazing Elite Level Heavy Shield to my burglar who realized his greedy little mistake too late. Burglars never use shields of any kind - - much less heavy ones. After apologizing once I was called out - - I had no choice, but to sell that gorgeous shield for 18 silver to the local vendor. Moral of the story: Fight that urge to loot mid-battle, and pay attention to little pop up boxes - - they're there for a reason! Drauglin won't forget, so you can still group with him .

Lesson learned my friend and we all are guilty of a bit of greed now and again, but did it have to strike on the Elite level loot. lol

Geez, this thread is turning into all mea culpas! Here's mine:
Eh. I chopped some wood a while ago (a long while ago now) that a few people had been standing around for a minute or so, this was just east of Esteldin. I got a nasty message from a minstrel about my being an not a very nice person, though I expect she was more polite than that, as I made a note, I think her name was rosalind or something close. She was a minstrel.
Anyhow, since I had a new recipe for a superior lute within a day or two of the incident, I send her a new superior lute when I had the crap for it. She took that as an apology, which I guess it was, and ended up saving Hasmatt, Drauglin, and I's ass several times in Fornost a month or so later....
Moral? well, not really. Just being nice or apologizing when it isn't your fault can pay off. Well, if any of you are married you know that. If you don't know that, you won't be married for long.

heh, back to the original topic of the thread - - I think it's funny that in the last patch, they made those elite level items bind on equip, instead of acquire. If they were still in your pack and not equipped, they changed them as well. . . . . . . . So, if I hadn't sold it to the vendor, and just kept it for 3 months . . . . . . well, Someone would have had a wonderful shield - - - double oops.

Don't feel bad, Draug. It was already bound, so the update probably wouldn't have changed anything.
Also, I'd like to add *Eomin* to the Scoundrel's list (see Bounty Hunting for reasons). Drdora is also a pain, but not quite scoundrel level.
