Different types of weapons have different kinds of standard buffs and debuffs apart from their wielder's stat buffs. Like my post on Damage Types, the purpose of this thread is to expand/pool our knowledge.
When Bayron, Klorin and I (apologies if I've missed any other GM weapon makers) are making Legendary Weapons come the Fall Expansion, we'd like everyone to know just what type of weapon suits their style of combat the best (for example I like Tedroni to use swords, spears and daggers, though I am fast growing fond of my mace).
Speed is also a key ingredient when choosing a weapon. Higher numbers are slower (and generally consume less power per second of combat), lower numbers are faster (and generally make the fight shorter).
Some weapons are made by weaponsmiths, others are made by woodworkers.
Axe (1 & 2-handed) -[2.4, 3.1]-weaponsmith- can reduce armor value ;D
Bow -[~2.4]-woodworker- increased critical hit chance (but only on auto-attacks)
Club (1 & 2-handed) -[1.8, 2.6]-woodworker(?)- can slow target's attack speed
Crossbow -[2.4]-woodworker- auto-attacks (ranged only) are harder to block
Dagger (1-handed) -[1.7]-weaponsmith- increased critical hit chance (but only on auto-attacks) ;D
Halberd (2-handed) -[3.3]-weaponsmith- greater aggro
Hammer (1 & 2-handed) -[2.4 & ~3]-woodworker- can reduce evade chance ;D
Mace -[2.3]-weaponsmith- has a chance to stun
Spear -[1.9]-woodworker- has a chance to bleed (damage over time) ;D
Sword (1 & 2-handed) -[2.0, 2.8]-weaponsmith- increased hit chance ;D
Staff (2-handed) -[2.5]-woodworker- staves seem to be able to hold more buffs than other weapons that deal similar amounts of damage, but otherwise seem to have no inherent buff/debuff.
Thrown Weapon -weaponsmith- pulling weapon

Guardians - Axes, Bows, Clubs, Crossbows, Daggers, Hammers, Maces, Swords, and Thrown Weapons
Hunters - 1-H Axes, Bows, Daggers, and 1-H Swords
Lore Masters - Staff, and 1-H Sword (with slotted trait )
Minstrels - 1-H Axes (with slotted trait), 1-H Club, Dagger, Mace, and 1-H Sword
