I just had to post, even if no one sees it for a while. I just got back from the 6.5 hour Wild Cave Tour of Mammoth Cave. It was unreal. Highlights included crawling for almost a quarter mile through a gap only 9 inches tall. Wall climbing with my feet about 3 feet apart on two inch ledges with a 150 foot drop between them, while trying to hold onto slippery flowstone with my hands. Oh, and making by body into an "S" to get through a 7" gap. Anyway, I'm sore, both muscles and joints - I'm filthy dirty, and I had a fantastic time - - I'd recommend it to anyone . . . . . as long as you have less than a 42" chest, and aren't prone to any claustrophobia. You'll get to see parts of the cave that VERY few people get to see, and one of the two ladies on our tour got engaged. So, you just never know what will happen.
